Australian Petfood Standard Launched

Australian Standard AS 5812-2011

New standard available!

For many years the Pet Food Industry Association of Australia has been proudly the custodian of industry standards and includes in its mission statement:

"to promote prepared pet food as the preferred method of pet nutrition reinforced through the establishment and self regulation of industry standards".

PFIAA has been instrumental in establishing a new Australian Standard, AS5812-2011: Manufacturing & Marketing of Petfood.

AS5812-2011 is now published and available from the publisher SAI Global at:

The PFIAA Code of Practice, on which the new standard is based, has now been archived.
